Frequently asked questions. Simply explained.

Here are the answers to the most important questions. If something is missing, just ask us.

How does food waste become compost?

The machine turns food waste into pre-compost in 10–24 hours. It is hygienised and has much less volume. After a curing period it becomes compost.

What can go into the machine?

Food and kitchen waste (e.g. leftovers, fruit and vegetable scraps, bread, coffee grounds) as well as leaves, grass and foliage. Branches, hedge cuttings and large bones are shredded first. Our machines already process plant residues from agriculture too, for example from banana plantations. Cutlery, packaging, plastic and glass must stay out.

How much less waste is left?

Volume drops by up to approx. 90 %, depending on the material. Many full bins become just a small amount. Volume and weight are not the same.

Is it hygienic?

Yes. Every cycle hygienises the waste automatically: at least 60 minutes at a minimum of 70 °C. The control system monitors the temperature and logs everything. That makes documentation in your hygiene concept easier. Note: this is a process value of the machine, not an official approval.

Does it smell?

The exhaust air is filtered in three stages: UV-C light, silica gel and activated carbon. This clearly reduces odours. The filters are serviced regularly.

Which size do we need?

That depends on how much waste you produce each day. There are nine sizes from 25 to 10,000 litres fill volume; one cycle takes 10–24 hours. We're happy to help you choose.

What certificates are there?

All models carry CE marking under the EU Machinery Directive. You get a two-year warranty. All technical data is listed on each model page.

Is it worth it for us?

That depends on your current disposal costs and your amounts. Tell us both and we'll work it out together.

How do we get started?
